Progress...

Pictured above is Roger, aka David Foster, clearing some of the trees on the weekend. RFS is making good progress on the homes, and all is on schedule. Cindy and I are choosing colours for the externals and selecting the various bits and pieces such as bathroom fittings,...

This is the view from the two homes onto the Don Reserve. Though we are intending to sell these two top homes for $400k, we hope prospective owners will choose to purchase the front blocks at an additional $80k because living in these homes with nothing in front but garden and forest would be the ultimate in environmental forest living. The planned homes below these two are built so as not to obstruct the view of the Don forest.

Remember we will not have road frontage at all. The driveway into these peacefully located Don Reserve homes will wind around the corner to Oldaker street.

Just walking through the building site I realise how valuable an architect designed plan is. The rooms are all just perfect size, not too big, not too small, the angled high ceilings will make the living spaces stylish and airy, and with the french doors fully opening onto the verandah the outdoor forest living concept gains a breath of fresh air and realism. Who would know we are only a stone's throw from a direct ferry to Melbourne and the airport not even a single traffic light away yet never hear planes overhead.
